From 19+ museum parties and Halloween nightlife to haunted hayrides, ghost tours and full-scale scream parks, these are the Toronto Halloween events worth leaving the kids at home for.

Looking for Halloween events for adults in Toronto in 2026? There is a lot more happening this October than pumpkin patches and trick-or-treating.

The Best Halloween Events for Adults in Toronto & the GTA in 2026

Toronto and the GTA have a surprisingly good lineup for grown-ups this year, including 19+ Halloween parties at the ROM, an adults-only pumpkin trail at Royal Botanical Gardens, horror movies, haunted houses, ghost tours and some genuinely terrifying attractions.

We’ve also included a couple of major Ontario haunts outside the GTA that are worth the drive if getting properly scared is the goal.

Some of these events are strictly 19+, while others simply skew older or are designed with teens and adults in mind.

For even more spooky-season plans, check out SKELETON’s complete Best Halloween Events in Toronto and the GTA for 2026 guide.

1. ROM After Dark: All Hallow’s Eve & Trick or Treat — Toronto

The ROM is giving adults two chances to spend Halloween inside the museum this year.

ROM After Dark: All Hallow’s Eve takes place October 30, followed by ROM After Dark: Trick or Treat on Halloween night.

Both are strictly 19+ and turn the museum into an after-hours party with live music, DJs, performances, dancing, food, drinks and Halloween-themed installations.

Your ticket also includes one complimentary beverage.

When: October 30 and 31, 2026
Where: Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto
Age: 19+
Tickets: $40
More info: ROM After Dark

This is a particularly good choice if you want an actual Halloween party without spending the entire night inside a nightclub.

2. Legends of Horror at Casa Loma — Toronto

Few Toronto landmarks lend themselves to Halloween quite as easily as Casa Loma.

Legends of Horror returns from October 3 through 31 with an immersive route winding through the castle grounds, tunnels and some of the property’s darker corners.

The attraction uses elaborate environments, projections and large-scale effects to turn Casa Loma into something considerably moodier than its usual tourist-attraction persona.

One important change for 2026: there are no live actors or characters, so this year’s experience is more about atmosphere, visual effects and the setting itself than people jumping out at you.

When: October 3–31, 2026 on select nights
Where: Casa Loma, 1 Austin Terrace, Toronto
More info: Legends of Horror

For anyone looking for Halloween atmosphere without going straight into scream-park territory, this is an easy date-night option.

3. Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland — Vaughan

If one haunted house isn’t enough, Canada’s Wonderland essentially turns the entire park into one.

Halloween Haunt runs on select nights from September 25 through November 1, bringing haunted mazes, scare zones, roaming monsters, nighttime rides and live entertainment to the park after dark.

For 2026, the lineup includes The Conjuring: Beyond Fear, an immersive attraction inspired by The Conjuringuniverse.

Halloween Haunt isn’t technically adults-only, but Canada’s Wonderland says the event is not recommended for guests under 13. A chaperone policy is also in effect, and costumes are not permitted after 6 p.m.

When: Select nights, September 25–November 1, 2026
Where: Canada’s Wonderland, 1 Canada’s Wonderland Drive, Vaughan
Age: 13+ recommended
More info: Halloween Haunt

This is one of the better options if you want several hours of Halloween rather than one quick walkthrough.

4. SCREEMERS — Vaughan

SCREEMERS is a little less theme park and a little more we came here specifically to be scared.

The long-running Vaughan attraction returns with seven haunted walk-through mazes, plus unlimited rides on the Midway of Madness included with general admission.

There’s also a licensed Vampire Lounge for adults, making it easy to turn the night into more than just a haunted-house run.

When: October 9–31, 2026
Where: Assembly Park, 80 Interchange Way, Vaughan
Age: Not recommended for children under 10
Tickets: SCREEMERS tickets

Halloween weekend is more expensive, so going earlier in October can save you a little money while still delivering the same basic nightmare.

5. Fear Farm — Bright, Ontario

If you’re willing to drive outside the GTA for a serious haunt, Fear Farm earns its spot.

Located in Bright, near Kitchener, Fear Farm combines the rural setting with seven haunted attractions, including its signature Haunted Hayride.

The lineup includes haunted houses, outdoor trails and scream-filled experiences spread across the property, giving it more of a full-night feel than a single haunted-house walkthrough.

This one is very much aimed at an older crowd. Fear Farm says the event is intended for guests 16 and over, while anyone under 18 must attend with adult supervision.

Tickets also have to be purchased online in advance.

When: Opens September 26, 2026
Where: 936685 Blenheim Rd., Bright, Ontario
Age: Intended for 16+
More info: Fear Farm

The haunted farm setting is what separates this from the city haunts. There is already something slightly unnerving about walking through dark fields and woods before anyone starts chasing you.

6. Haunt Manor — Niagara Falls

For anyone willing to make the drive to Niagara Falls, Haunt Manor goes considerably bigger than a single haunted house.

The experience includes a theatrical Haunted Hayride alongside haunted houses, outdoor trails and attractions spread across the property’s historic farm setting.

The lineup also includes the three-storey Trick or Treat Haunted Barn, Cedar Maze forest trail, themed haunted houses and multiple scare zones.

The full experience can easily become a major part of the night, making this one of the more substantial Halloween attractions within driving distance of Toronto.

When: Select nights October 2–31, 2026
Where: 9387 Lundy’s Lane, Niagara Falls
Age: 13+ recommended
More info: Haunt Manor

If your ideal Halloween attraction involves a hayride dropping you into a night of haunted barns, wooded trails and scream zones, this is probably closer to what you’re looking for.

7. Martino Manor — Etobicoke

For something closer to Toronto that feels more like a traditional haunted house, there’s Martino Manor.

The Etobicoke attraction takes guests through multiple horror environments filled with dark rooms, unsettling characters and intense scares.

The full walkthrough is shorter than the major scream parks, making it easier to work into an October night out.

Martino Manor is not recommended for children under 13 and includes intense scares, gore and disturbing imagery.

Another thing to know before going: tickets are sold at the door only, and admission is cash only.

When: Select dates in October
Where: 7 McIntosh Ave., Etobicoke
Age: 13+ recommended
More info: Martino Manor

8. Pumpkins After Dark Adult Night — Milton

Pumpkins After Dark normally falls on the family-friendly side of Halloween, but October 15 is specifically for adults.

The 19+ Adult Night at the Milton location adds local craft beer, tarot card readers and a live DJ to the illuminated pumpkin trail.

Admission also includes access to the show’s other attractions, giving you Halloween atmosphere without spending the entire evening being chased through a full-scale haunted attraction.

When: October 15, 2026
Where: Country Heritage Park, 8560 Tremaine Rd., Milton
Age: 19+
Tickets and info: Pumpkins After Dark Milton

9. RBG After Dark: Pumpkin Trail — Burlington

Royal Botanical Gardens is also reserving one October night for the grown-ups.

RBG After Dark: Pumpkin Trail takes over Hendrie Park on October 22, when hundreds of illuminated jack-o’-lanterns lead guests through the gardens after dark.

Unlike the regular Great Pumpkin Trail, this version is strictly 19+, with music, entertainment, food, drinks and Halloween activities throughout the evening.

It feels considerably more date night than haunted house, which makes it a good option if getting screamed at by someone in the dark isn’t really your thing.

When: October 22, 2026
Where: Hendrie Park, 680 Plains Rd. W., Burlington
Age: 19+
More info: RBG After Dark: Pumpkin Trail

10. The Haunted Walk of Toronto — Downtown Toronto

Toronto already has enough strange history that a Halloween ghost tour doesn’t need much embellishment.

The Original Haunted Walk of Toronto spends 75 minutes exploring stories involving haunted buildings, graveyards, unexplained events and some of the city’s darker history.

The outdoor tour departs from the area around the Hockey Hall of Fame.

There’s also a separate Spirits of the Distillery District Ghost Tour if you want to take the same idea into one of Toronto’s oldest neighbourhoods.

Neither is Halloween-night-exclusive, which is actually part of the appeal: you can book during the fall instead of fighting for an October 31 ticket.

When: Multiple fall dates
Where: Downtown Toronto
Book: Original Haunted Walk of Toronto

For anyone who prefers unsettling stories over chainsaws, this is the move.

11. Toronto After Dark Film Festival — Toronto

Not every Halloween outing has to involve a maze.

The Toronto After Dark Film Festival returns October 14 through 18 for five nights dedicated to horror, thriller and sci-fi cinema.

The annual genre festival attracts horror fans, filmmakers, industry and press for a concentrated stretch of new films right in the middle of October.

It makes a particularly good pick for people who would rather watch someone make a terrible decision on a movie screen than make one themselves inside a haunted house.

When: October 14–18, 2026
Where: Toronto
More info: Toronto After Dark Film Festival

12. Halloween on Church — Toronto

If you want to see Toronto actually show up in costume, head to Church-Wellesley Village on Halloween night.

Halloween on Church takes over Church Street between Carlton and Gloucester and turns the neighbourhood into one enormous outdoor Halloween celebration.

Expect elaborate costumes, entertainment and a huge crowd filling the Village throughout the evening.

The event itself is not adults-only, but the neighbourhood is surrounded by bars and nightlife for anyone looking to continue afterward.

When: October 31, 2026, 6:30 p.m.–midnight
Where: Church Street between Carlton and Gloucester streets, Toronto
More info: Halloween on Church

13. Halloween Boat Party — Toronto Harbour

And yes, you can apparently spend Halloween on a boat.

The Halloween Boat Party aboard the Jubilee Queen is scheduled for October 31, with boarding beginning at 8:30 p.m. before the boat heads out around Toronto Harbour.

The 19+ party includes DJs, dancing, a bar, food and a costume competition.

More importantly for late October in Toronto, the boat is covered and heated.

When: October 31, 2026, 8:30 p.m.–1:30 a.m.
Where: Jubilee Queen Cruises, 539 Queens Quay W., Toronto
Age: 19+
Tickets: Halloween Boat Party Toronto
