1. SCREEMERS — Vaughan
If your idea of Halloween requires actual screaming, start here. SCREEMERS returns to Assembly Park in Vaughan with seven haunted walk-through mazes, more than 120 live actors and unlimited rides on the Midway of Madness included with admission.
It remains one of the GTA’s biggest dedicated Halloween attractions, with enough going on to make a full night of it rather than simply walking through one haunted house and heading home.

2. Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland — Vaughan
Canada’s Wonderland gets considerably darker once Halloween Haunt takes over the park. Running on select nights from September 25 through November 1, the event combines nighttime rides with scare zones, roaming monsters, live entertainment and haunted attractions.
New for 2026 is The Conjuring: Beyond Fear, a roughly 20-minute immersive experience inspired by The Conjuring universe, where guests step into the role of paranormal investigators.
One thing to know before you go: regular haunted maze access now requires a separate Haunted Attractions Pass, while The Conjuring: Beyond Fear requires its own ticket.

3. Fear Farm — Bright, Ontario
Fear Farm in Bright, Ontario opens for the season on September 26 with its Haunted Hayride and seven haunted attractions spread across the rural property.
The setting is what makes this one particularly good. You’re actually out in the country, moving through fields and farm buildings after dark, which gives the experience an atmosphere that is hard to recreate inside a theme park.
Tickets must be purchased online in advance, with no gate sales available.

4. Pumpkins After Dark — Milton
For Halloween without anyone chasing you through the dark, Pumpkins After Dark returns to Country Heritage Park in Milton from September 26 through October 31.
The nighttime walk-through features more than 10,000 hand-carved jack-o’-lanterns alongside illuminated displays, live pumpkin carving and plenty of places to stop for photos.
For 2026, the event introduces a new World Tour theme, Dracula’s Haunted Castle and the Bee Hive Maze, along with Wednesday pet nights, Sunday theme nights and an adults-only night on October 15.
It’s atmospheric rather than terrifying, making it a good pick for families, dates or anyone who enjoys Halloween but would rather not spend the evening being chased.

5. Halloween Nights of Lights & Pumpkinville — Toronto
Halloween Nights of Lights has been reworked for 2026, with the event moving to CF Sherway Gardens and combining two very different versions of Halloween in one spot.
Nights of Lights features an illuminated maze made with more than 1.5 million LED and RGB lights, while Pumpkinville brings in more than 15,000 pumpkins, midway rides, carnival games, photo installations and seasonal food.
There’s also a new 5,000-square-foot dystopian haunted maze. It operates without costumed actors for younger visitors until 7 p.m., before becoming a 13+ experience later in the evening.

6. Downey’s Pumpkinfest — Caledon
Not every October outing needs fake blood. Downey’s Pumpkinfest is back for 2026 with more than 40 attractions built around a very different kind of fall day.
Admission includes the farm’s eight-acre corn maze, wagon rides, farm animals, jumping pillows, live entertainment and plenty of activities for younger kids.
The new corn maze opens September 4, while Pumpkinfest officially begins September 19 and runs through Halloween.

7. Haunted Hollows Scream Park — East Gwillimbury
If you’re more interested in an actual haunt than a giant festival, Haunted Hollows is one to have on your radar.
Located just north of Newmarket in East Gwillimbury, the outdoor scream park takes guests through roughly 35 to 40 minutes of dark trails, live actors and elaborate horror scenes.
The property includes areas like Carnevil Circus, Chainsaw Alley, The Butcher Shop and The Swamp. New for 2026, a pager system lets guests grab food, play carnival games or explore the property instead of spending the night standing in line.

8. Haunt Manor — Niagara Falls
For anyone willing to make the drive to Niagara, Haunt Manor is going big again for 2026.
This year introduces the new Condemned Manor maze alongside the three-storey Trick or Treat Haunted Barn, Cedar Maze forest trail, Haunted Hayride and a long lineup of themed houses, scare zones and live entertainment.
The attraction is built on a historic property near Lundy’s Lane, giving the whole thing an atmosphere that already feels slightly unsettling before anyone in costume appears.
